Should work much better then a On-board Video...getting a full 512Mb will help. I would look at a full 1Gb (2x512mb).

Well just check if you have a PCI Slot in your Motherboard, just find a rectangular white slot (usually white anyway).

Dude...he might not care if he can run the game with all the shiny texture, for all he cares he might just wanna play the game on low detail or anything.

When you put the Graphics Card in, if you run low detail settings, it should run ok and look ok, but you will probably most likely experience lag with the RAM, just get 512, or if you have a little bit more cash to fork out, get 2x 512, to make 1GB to fork out extra.

Although I have a ATI Sapphire Radeon 9250 128MB AGP 8x, I can run the game full detail without lag, but I have 1GB RAM and AMD Athlon 2400 clocked at 2.0GHz.

Also Res, Intels can play for Gaming, it is his family PC...AMD yeah sure, are recommended for Gaming, but Intel can also play it...

I mean cmon Res, you think you can overclock Graphics Card RAM... ;\

Coming from someone who thought they could OC a Graphics card from 256MB to 512MB that's a classic! I'd actually pay good hard cash to see you run Battlefield 2, FEAR, X3, Half-Life 2 or any other game of that ilk with only 63MB.

As for the original poster, what speed is your Celeron? Anything around the 733MHz-900MHz mark coupled with 512MB and that Graphics Card you mention should allow you to play Guild Wars with some sense of decent gameplay. Just don't go into it expecting the all singing, all dancing bells and whistles experience.

For Guild Wars that should be plenty. 2.5Ghz even if it is a Celron should do ok. The ATI 9250 vid card should help you quite a bit too. (Better then NO vid card) Ram is the kicker. You really need at least 512mb like I said before.
